Fifteen Feasibility Studies Underway

The project invited interested parties to apply for a funding of feasibility studies for industrial biogas plants in Romania within in June. Now 15 studies are being carried out.

Biogas offers companies in the area of agriculture and food industry cost-effective ways to produce their own energy. Actual studies expect investments of more than 1.2 billion Euros into biogas technology in Romania by 2020. More than 140 participants joined our biogas-events in March 2009 in Sibiu. The ProBioPol consortium will implement several feasibility studies for biogas plants in Romania.

The feasibility studies are free of charge for the beneficiaries, the engineering work is paid of the funding of the 6th framework programme. As request to the announcement we received nineteen completed proposals. After a detailed analysis with several experts of the ProBioPol Consortium, we choose fifteen proposals to do a pre feasibility study. The feasibility studies will be done in the time from June till October 2009. Four different partners are still working on the studies. We want to thank again all participants for submitting their proposals.
